Terms of Service

Last updated: April 25, 2026

Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of DayBrief, an SMS-based daily briefing service operated by us. By signing up or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, have a valid mobile phone number, and have authority to grant access to any Google account you connect.

Subscription and billing

DayBrief is a $4.99/month subscription with a 7-day free trial. Stripe processes all payments. You can cancel any time from your dashboard or by texting us — your access continues to the end of the current billing period, then stops. Refunds for partial billing periods are not provided.

If your card fails, your service may be suspended. We'll text you so you can update payment.

Acceptable use

We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

SMS messaging

By signing up, you consent to receive SMS messages from DayBrief, including daily briefings, pre-meeting reminders, and operational notifications. Standard carrier rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out — note that opting out will effectively pause the service.

Calendar access

When you connect Google Calendar, you grant DayBrief permission to read your events and (with your instruction via SMS) make changes. You can revoke access from your Google account settings at any time.

Service availability

We aim for reliable delivery but can't guarantee 100% uptime. Briefings or reminders may occasionally be delayed or fail due to issues beyond our control (carrier outages, Google API limits, infrastructure incidents). We're not liable for missed events caused by service failures.

Intellectual property

The DayBrief service, name, design, and code are owned by us. You retain all rights to your own content (calendar events, messages you send us). By using the service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely to operate the service.

Disclaimers

DayBrief is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We're not your assistant in any legal sense — we don't guarantee the accuracy of briefings or scheduling actions. Always verify important calendar changes yourself.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of DayBrief is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be communicated by SMS or email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept them.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
